Drywall and Framing Estimating

Partition-by-partition drywall and metal framing takeoffs, from studs and track to board, finishing and soffits.

Drywall and Framing Estimating Overview

Drywall bids are built from partition types. Each type defines stud size and spacing, layers of board on each side, height and rating, so the takeoff measures wall length by type and converts it into framing members, board sheets and finishing labor.

Wood framing is covered under rough carpentry; this page covers light-gauge metal framing and gypsum board assemblies.
