Insulation Estimating
Building insulation estimates by assembly, area and R-value, for batt, blown, spray foam and rigid board systems.
Insulation Estimating Overview
Insulation is priced by area, thickness and type, and the drawings often specify different assemblies for exterior walls, interior sound walls, attics and foundations. We take off each assembly separately so material and labor reflect what is actually installed.
Mechanical pipe and duct insulation is part of mechanical estimating, and roof insulation is included with roofing. This page covers building insulation.
Also covered on this page: Building insulation portion of thermal and moisture protection (CSI Division 07).
